    Disk usage:

Hi radiogeetam, These are separate things. You have 1GB of disk storage space on your account to upload your music files for the AutoDJ feature. The 10GB of "pay as you go" bandwidth that you purchased is just for streaming. Please see...

    connecting sub dj accounts

Hi DJ_Relm, With the DJ accounts you will still need to provide your servers main 'Source Password' to your DJ's so that they are able to connect with their live source. Their individual DJ account passwords are just purely for logging into the control panel and not for streaming.

Issues with Nicecast and Shoutcast Server

Hi lradio, Sorry to hear that you have had some troubles getting this connected. I don't have a Mac or Nicecast at hand to test this at the moment, but your stream details were tested in a different encoder and it connected straight away using your current 'Source' password. From looking at...

    Icecast and royalties

Radionomy use some kind of modified version of Icecast for their servers and they also happen to own Shoutcast itself. Hence why their own stations are listed in both directories.

    Icecast and royalties

Hi Jorgear, 1) Shoutcast servers cannot be listed in the Icecast directories and vice versa. 2) If you are playing copyrighted music which you do not have permission from the copyright owner then yes you should have a license. Hope that helps.

Please confirm - can I Switch from icecast to shoutcast?

Yes unfortunately it is not possible to change an accounts server type once the account has been created. So this would require a new Shoutcast account being created instead. What is your account username please? We can delete your current Icecast account and then recreate it as a Shoutcast...

    Paid Positions

Hi Jammin M, We do not think its worth creating such a sub section of the forum for this. You said it yourself, internet radio for the most part is done for the love and fun of it. Stations already have to cover their own server costs, licensing / royalties payments etc which can sometimes be...
