    Popping/Cracks

Well if a shop bought PC has been sat in a box for 6 months or so, then the chances are that some of the drivers would be slightly outdated by the time you get it home and set it up. It's always good practise to update all the drivers when you are setting up a new PC for the first time.

    Artist rotation

Hi DolbyNR, You can set a playlists playback order to "Random (Shuffled)". But yes, there is no such feature to prevent a particular artist from being played several times in a row. Saying that though you must have a lot of a particular artists music in the playlist. So the only way to really...

Great, we are pleased that you got there in the end. It's pretty obvious really, but suggesting actually checking your audio files themselves for errors completely slipped our mind. Doh! Fingers crossed for you that's the end of the issue anyway. :)

    Popping/Cracks

Ok we see, perhaps then it is possibly network related if this is replicated on two different machines / os. Usually though any network problems would just cause the stream to buffer / skip or just fully drop out rather than cause any popping and crackling. We would highly recommend...

    Change Stream URL

We are afraid that we cannot supply you with a URL with the .mp3 extension at the end. But the link we provided above is the raw Mp3 URL and should still work the same. This works with the player that we use on your startpage: http://www.internet-radio.com/station/subtlefm/ For Icecast...

Right ok. So are you only actually hearing this when tuned into the stream itself, but you are not hearing it when monitoring the automation software? Are you using a dedicated external soundcard or your PC's on board?

    Popping/Cracks

We are afraid that we have no experience with 'RadioDJ w/HeidiSQL' whatsoever. But usually popping and crackling indicates that the buffer size of your sound card needs adjusting with audio programs. But it can also be related to various other issues with your soundcards drivers / hardware and...

Ok thanks. So to clarify as you mentioned that the "mixer output goes to the second pc light green line-in input". Do you mean that you have 2 PC's in your set up? So am I right in thinking that you have one PC using the external soundcard which is playing the music, which then goes into...

Hi moky107, This is where you are selecting your soundcard as the input in Shoutcast DSP's "input" settings. So it will only playback whats coming from your mixer as you have this connected to your sound cards inputs. When "Winamp" is selected instead as the input device, it will only broadcast...
