Rhubarb Radio is a community based Radio station based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, UK. We are currently broadcasting through the internet with a view to going DAB within 12 months.

Why Rhubarb? Wakefield town and surrounding areas, South Leeds and Dewsbury, produce the largest forced growth of Rhubarb in the world. This area is known as the "Rhubarb Triangle". For more information please Google it.

We play popular charted music from the 70's to present day with the exception of specialist shows. The specialist shows are:
"Rhubarb Smoothies" playing all the smooth tunes for loved-up listeners.
"Acceptable 80's" playing top tunes from that decade.
"In The Midnight Hour" playing Soul, Motown, UK Northern Soul and Stax tunes from 12am every Sunday.

Hi 60s superstar frank Ifield has just turned 80 and is flying in from Australia to do probably his last uk tour ever and is playing in Venues up and down the country starting on the 1st of May 2018 in Wakefield.Frank worked a lot for the bbc is coming to the end of a wonderful career and I’m looking for a helping hand to get it out to his fans about his uk tour .
