I need to put a offline radio online, and I am not sure how to do it. I need to have a web page with a player. So far I have tried downloading the software samcast but I am not sure how to use it to accomplish my goal.
I still have no radio server, by offline I just meant that is a normal radio station... how do I get a radio server?Hi Joaquim,
Please could you clarify some more? Do you already have an existing radio server that is just currently offline? Do you host with us or with another service provider?
Samcast is live broadcasting software. In order to connect this software to your radio server, you will need to first start the radio server and then enter in your servers encoder details into Samcast (such as username, server address, port, password etc) in order to connect to the server and begin streaming.
The following guide may be of some help to you: http://www.internet-radio.com/community/threads/a-beginners-guide-to-internet-radio.12168/
With the server taking care how the listeners will be able to listen? Do I get a domain and hosting where I can create a player and with the audio stream?Right ok. We offer radio server hosting here.
Some more information on this can be found here: http://www.internet-radio.com/servers/
Thanks. Just to make sure I understand I can use samcast and click encoders>add new encoder>mp3PRO> and on Server details I put I can select Shoutcast and put the Server IP, Server Port, user name and password provided by you?No, you will not get a domain name or website hosting. We only offer radio server hosting, so you would need to look elsewhere for that.
We do provide you though with the code to embed you radio stations player (or tune in links) into your own website.
Your listeners will also be able to tune into your station via our own directory's and you will have your own dedicated start page for your station i.e http://www.internet-radio.com/station/dougeasyhits/![]()
I have got a trial account and does not work with SamCast. No problem.
Yes, that is correct.
OK. Thank you....It will work with Samcast, it just sounds like you have not got this set up correctly. We have responded to your recent email anyway.![]()
